In Syracuse, NY, the Everson Museum sponsors an annual "On Your Own Time" exhibit for professional non-artists.
"Women Sewing with Metal," was the result of several women's first attempts at welding.
Each woman's approach to her line in the piece is unique.

I enjoy introducing people to welding who have always had a curiosity, but no opportunity. It is a thrill to discover how it feels to draw a bead, or as I think of it, sew with metal.
